I had a bad day yesterday. From start to finish it seemed like an uphill climb.
I slept really poorly that night, had nightmares. Woke up feeling pretty melancholy and couldn't get started. I was late leaving for work, I could go on. I was just in a funk and couldn't bring myself out and it seemed like anything I was trying was just making it worse.
I don't know about you guys, but I have never been able to get out of these moods in a healthy way. Working out when I'm like this only leads to me being upset that I'm not in better shape. I beat myself up for not being able to go faster or turn up the resistance. So I opted for treating myself to a nice salad and some berries for dessert.
But no matter what, I can't shake the idea that if I'd gone out to get some fried rice and a cupcake I'd feel better.
I messed up dinner a bit too, kinda beating myself up about it all. Then had more nightmares!!
How do you guys deal when you get this way? I'm still kind of feeling funky...gotta shake it!

Tomorrow's a new day! Taking a bubble bath and reading a good book helps me when I just can't seem to get out of a funk. I've also found that not sleeping well really effects how my day goes.
I had a day similar to this on Monday. Woke up an the toilet in my bathroom was broken, went to leave for work and had a low tire, tried to air it up and couldn't get my air compressor to work...was really in a mood by the time I got on the road. I decided when I got to work that I needed to focus on something good. I focused on trying a new activity with the kids in my class. It helped. It got my mind off of my bad morning and helped me focus on something else. I soon forgot my troubles and was able to have a good day.
When I read this that song "So you had a bad day" just kept echoing through m head. I am not sure how I turn my frown upside down. I would think with laughter.
What makes you feel good? Do that.
Thanks all for your support during my whiny times! It means a lot to me :)
FitforFrance - sleeping well this week has made ALL the difference!!
Joanna - that's been helping me too, I kind of created a new project for myself at work :)
